The National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) operates a regularly scheduled shuttle from Dulles Airport to NCTC on Sundays. These shuttles depart at 1300, 1600, and 1900 hours. Directions on where to catch the shuttle and how to recognize it are available on the NCTC website at http://training.fws.gov/shuttle.htm. Please note that we do have a cookout scheduled for Sunday evening at 1830 hours, so if you wish to arrive in time for the cookout, you will need to catch one of the early shuttles. The fee for the shuttle is $35 US. You must indicate on the registration form if you intend to use the shuttle and which shuttle you plan to take. If you plan to drive from Dulles to NCTC, directions are available on the NCTC website at http://training.fws.gov/mapdir.html. The drive takes approximately 90 minutes through very lovely countryside.

Airline tickets for invited attendees must be issued through the USGS. If you are an invited attendee, please contact our office to arrange your flights as soon as possible. Flights arranged by US–sponsored invitees must be booked on US flag carriers or their partners.

We request that all attendees provide their flight itineraries to our office in order to help us plan logistics and ensure that you have ground transportation to the conference venue. Please complete and submit the workshop registration form on this website with this information and return it no later than August 30 in order to guarantee your lodging at NCTC.

Once we receive everyone’s flight itineraries, we maybe able to provide additional shuttle vans from Dulles. The NCTC shuttle does not operate on Saturday, so we will provide transportation back to Dulles Airport for everyone who requires it on Saturday morning, Sept. 23rd after breakfast.

Arrival at NCTC
Upon arrival at Shepherdstown from Dulles Airport, the NCTC shuttle will bring all participants to the Entry Auditorium at NCTC. All participants should check in at the NCTC registration desk in the Entry Auditorium to receive their room keys and meal plan cards. The cost of regular meals is included in the room fee. You will be able to walk from the registration desk in the Entry Auditorium building to your lodge. Folks arriving early may wish to decompress at the lounge on the ground floor in the commons area after they are settled in their rooms or walk on one of the many trails on the NCTC campus. The welcome cookout will begin at 1830 on the patio outside the commons (see map).
